Christadelphains
The Christadelphians are worldwide groups of people drawn from all walks of life. Our common bond is our belief in the Bible, the Word of God. We have no paid leaders and no overall "head of the Church" other than Jesus Christ himself.
We organize our own affairs with the Bible as our only basis and the only authority for our beliefs.
What we believe therefore is the same as the first century Christians. Meeting together is an important part of our lives. We are able to meet every Sunday and one evening during the week. Additional social and preaching activities are also organised, to which families and friends are invited. We also run a Sunday School and Youth Groups to cater for the needs of the young people.
As mentioned before the Christadelphians are a worldwide community, established over a 150 years ago and united by their common belief in the Bible.
The name Christadelphian is based on the words "Christ's Brethren" from the Greek and as such refers to the community of baptised members both 'men' and 'women' in the same way the New Testament uses the expression 'brethren' referring to all the member of the Christian church. It was chosen because the New Testament Christians called each other 'brothers' and 'sisters' to express their relationship to one another through baptism into the saving name of Jesus.
